National Postal Week 2025 Begins: Series of Events Launched under the Theme ‘#PostForPeople – Local Service, Global Reach’

The Department of Posts has launched National Postal Week 2025, which will be celebrated across the country from October 6 to October 10, 2025. The week-long observance begins with Technology Day and will conclude with Customer Day. The celebration is held every year to mark World Post Day (October 9), commemorating the establishment of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) in 1874. The theme for this year is “#PostForPeople – Local Service, Global Reach.”

Throughout the week, various thematic events will be organized across all divisions of the Chhattisgarh Postal Circle. On October 6, Technology Day will feature quiz competitions on technology used in postal services, while October 7 will be observed as Financial Inclusion Day, during which Postal Life Insurance (PLI) and Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) fairs will be held to promote savings and insurance schemes, including the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana.

October 8 will be observed as Philately and Citizen-Centric Services Day, featuring Aadhaar enrollment camps and workshops related to the Dhai Akhar Letter Writing Competition in schools. On October 9, World Post Day will be celebrated with rallies and tree plantation drives under the theme “#PostForPeople – Local Service, Global Reach.” The observance will conclude on October 10 with Customer Day, featuring customer interaction meets at head post offices.

Through National Postal Week, the Department of Posts aims to bring its modern, digital, and citizen-oriented postal services closer to the public, while strengthening customer engagement and improving service delivery through feedback and participation.
